Grady's First Halloween

Today was a big day for Grady. He was dressed in his costume for most of the day and went and visited many people. As you can see, Grady was a bat for Halloween. He did pretty good all day and that night ended up sleeping much through the night (of course that has not happened since). Here are a few pictures of Grady for Halloween.

Here we are visiting Kimber and Cooper in the hospital. Kimber and I work together. We were both pregnant at the same time and so it was only fitting to have the four of us take a picture together. Cooper was only about a day old in this picture and Grady was about 3.5 weeks old.

Grady's First Overnight Trip

Grady and I went to Iowa City after my dr.'s appointment on Monday. Athena had a book party that I wanted to go to and since I was down there, I decided to make it an overnight trip (plus, Jon could get a good nights sleep at home). On Tuesday, Athena watched Grady as I ran to the mall to get something and so Lucas, Dawson and Addison were able to spend some time with him. Addison and Lucas were able to feed Grady and then Addison read to Grady while I was out. He was very focused on what she had to say. Athena also taught me a thing or two about this blog, so hopefully, I am making her proud! This is my first multipicture attempt and video attempt by myself...Well, Athena, how did I do? :-)
All in all, it was a great trip and Grady was such a good boy and everyone had a nice time

Here is Addison reading to Grady!
It was so precious to not only hear her do this, but to watch her be so loving with Grady.

The many faces of Grady ...

Grady is such a good little boy! Even though he does not have a schedule down (will he ever), he has been such a blessing to both Jon and I. We love our little boy so much! Here are a few pictures of Grady from the past three weeks! Can you believe he is three weeks old?? Wow!

Daddy and Grady Time ...

Jon is talking to Grady while working on "tummy time"

Our first morning home proved to be very interesting. First, Grady did not go to sleep until 5:30am that morning (he cried all night for us), but then I over flowed the toilet due to not wanting to flush it all night b/c I thought it would distrub Grady (big mistake - thanks honey for cleaning the floor up), but most funny was how Jon came into the kitchen where I was making a bottle and here Grady had pooped all down the front of Jon's shirt...it was so funny! I had to get a picture!

Jon is carrying Grady out of the hospital and we are on are way...to Target to get some medicine. Of course, his first trip would be to Target...Duh! :-)

Jon got to feed Grady for the first few times in the hospital b/c mommy was unable to be with Grady for the first few hours after he was born. Good job Daddy!

Mommy and Grady ...

This is mommy's first day alone with Grady. Grandma Jeanette was leaving for the day and it was mom's turn to figure out, "what do you do with a baby all day?" We soon learned...CUDDLE and SNUGGLE and love on each other!
While in the hospital one night, I had Grady on the bed with me and we did some talking. Jon was at home sleeping because he was selling hogs the next morning, so Grady and I had a little heart to heart...just mom and Grady.
Grady and Mom in the hospital the day after he was born. I was finally able to get out of bed and walk around with him.
This was our first trip out to the Moseley farm. Grady was sleeping during our meal time, so we took a quick picture. This was the first time that I was able to meet Grady. Please note - I had a lot of fluids going through my body! Can yo believe how puffy I was...Grady didn't seem to care at all - he was just glad to meet his mommy face to face for the first time.

Our first day out ...

Today we went to visit Daddy at work for the first time and Grady had his two week appointment!!

This was the first time that I was able to drive. So, we took Grady to see Jon at work. Afterwards, we went to his two week appointment. Grady had already gained a pound (9 pounds 4 ounces) and had grown a 1/2 inch (22 1/4 inches)! What a big boy! The Dr. was great and said that we were going to be good parents based on the questions and concerns that we had. Whew! We passed that test!

Week One with Grady

We survived week one and now have completed week two being at home. The first week/weekend, Grandma Jeanette came over and spent the night so Jon and I could get some sleep in order to heal from the c-section. He did so well with his first sleep over with Grandma at our house. From there, Monday began and Grady and I spent our first day together as you can see above...We have done well together even with the trips to the dr's office and such - both grandparents have been so helpful and Jon and I are very thankful for their time they are spending with us and helping us out. I am having trouble with my incision and so we have been to see the dr. a few to many times lately - but all should be well. I apologize for not updating the blog much, but I am waiting to learn how to do this better once Athena is back in town and can show me the ropes. So - check back in a week or so and you should see lots more about Grady and our family. Thank you for all of your prayers!!

Grady Stephen Moseley

Grady Stephen Moseley FINALLY entered the world today
at 6:08am via C-Section!!
He weighed in at 8 lbs, 3.5 ozs and is 21 3/4 inches long!!
We went in at 8:00am on Monday 10/6 to be induced
since I was 9 days over my due date!!
It was a LONG 22 hours and in the end it was determined that I was not going to go on my own and so our doctor decided that a C-Section was the best option!!
We are all doing well!! More updates to come soon!!
Cousin Addison loving on Grady!!

In the NICU right after birth but he is just fine!!
